Viewing Trips
While many of our clients are happy to purchase with us over the phone, one of the best ways to make the right purchasing decision is to visit Spain and experience the different areas firsthand. Guided by one of our expert property team you will view a variety of properties that suit your budget and requirements.
The following is a brief overview of the viewing trip process which can be split into two key parts, part one prior to actually coming out to Spain and part two what happens when you actually arrive here in Spain.
Part One- Prior to coming out to Spain
Stage 1
From the comfort of your own home or office, we will liaise with you by phone and email to ensure that we understand your own personal requirements in detail.
We will discuss at length what you are looking for from your property in Spain, your budget and any other requirements you may have.
Once we have all this information we can narrow down the choice of suitable properties and send you all the property details, brochures, floor plans and building specifications for your perusal prior to arriving in Spain.
Stage 2
Ideally if you are particularly keen on one particular development or property we encourage clients to make a reservation deposit, which effectively takes the property off the market and freezes the price. This in no way commits you to the purchase as the reservation fee of £2,000 or 3,000 € (payable by credit card or bank transfer) is totally refundable.
If you decide not to reserve prior to your viewing trip this is not a problem however we would stress that well located properties tend to be snapped up very quickly and the property you are interested in could be sold before you arrive in Spain.
Stage 3
Our viewing trips are non-pressurised and totally flexible, so we leave the duration of your stay and choice of flights to you. However we would be delighted to offer you advice on flights and accommodation choices should you require it?
If you do find a suitable property while you are here and decide to purchase with us, we will be delighted to offer you a refund of up to 500€ on the cost of your flights and accommodation.
Part Two-When you arrive in Spain
On your arrival in Spain, you will be greeted by one of our property team and driven to your hotel of choice. Depending on your arrival time and the duration of your stay (generally 2 – 3 days) we will leave you to relax for the evening at the hotel and arrange to meet with you following morning or start viewing various properties on the same day, depending on your personal preference.
All of our property team live and work in the area, so they have extensive knowledge of the area and the purchase process. They will effectively give you a tour of the region to see what it offers in terms of lifestyle and amenities.
You will view a variety of different properties that match your requirements and budget. Spanish developments can vary greatly in terms of build quality and facilities so we will take you to see as many properties as possible.
At the end of the day you will be taken back to your hotel, giving you some time to relax, enjoy the local scenery and think about all you have seen during the day. The following day we will take you to view more developments in different areas or to revisit properties you saw the day before if you so wish.
During your trip we can arrange a consultation with an independent English speaking lawyer to discuss the legalities of the buying process and we can also arrange free consultations with currency and mortgage advisors if you so wish.
When your viewing trip is over we will arrange to transfer you to the airport for your journey home, hopefully as the proud owner of a new Spanish home!
Once again we would like to reiterate that our viewing trips are totally personal and flexible, if there is something you specifically wish to see or do whilst you are here in Spain then please let us know and we will do our utmost to arrange this for you, whether it is a round of golf or a visit to a furniture store for example.
